I’ve been tinkering on this for the last couple of weeks because I thought it’d be cool. Wanted to try out this whole “vibe coding” thing and, honestly I just wanted to see if I could get it working. It’s live now, and I think it turned out pretty sweet.
There are two tools up on the site:
🔍 Commander Bracket + Playstyle Quiz
Answer some story-driven questions and get a result that tells you:
- What bracket your deckbuilding style falls into
- What kind of playstyle you naturally lean toward
- A suggested commander based on the combo
It’s not scientific, but it’s fun. I got Bracket 3 control, which feels very accurate.
🛠 Narrative Deckbuilder
You give it a prompt like
“a forgotten empire beneath the sea”
“a lonely witch trying to make peace with nature”
…and it spits out a flavorful decklist built to match that theme. It’s surprisingly good at vibing with what you’re going for.
It’s by no means perfect, or is going to give you a great deck… and… might be a bit repetitive, but I think it’s enough to light some sparks and get started on some interesting narrative first decks. I’ll keep noodling on it for a while.
Both tools are free to use, but you will need to make an account for the Deckbuilder (I do security things for a living). That’s just so I don’t get buried under an OpenAI bill — the deckbuilder uses AI behind the scenes and that stuff adds up.
Would love your feedback, weird edge cases, or chaotic prompt ideas.
Thanks for checking it out!
